Hello! I’m Jesse and it’s nice to meet you virtually! My love for reading dates back to when I was a little kid and my mom would read to me the Harry Potter books, a chapter a night. I remember being transported to another world entirely. I was hooked and fell completely in love with reading. And as they say, the rest is history.
I first discovered my passion for writing in law school. I was going through some major changes in my life at the time, both personally and professionally. For me, writing was cathartic. It was a vehicle that allowed me to channel my most inner thoughts and emotions, incorporating facets of my own life, fears, hopes and dreams, into my writing.
After law school, I took a long hiatus from writing, until I moved to North Carolina in 2019. I consider North Carolina the “chapter 2” of my adult life and I have truly have found joy in my writing. When nothing else makes sense in the world around me, writing anchors me. It gives me a semblance of control, the power to shape stories and characters exactly as I imagine them. Through my writing, I strive to share the same passion that drives me, moving others to feel something real that stays with them long after the last page.
